The Good Samaritan Society – Syracuse offers a variety of services for both short-term and long-term circumstances.  GSS-Syracuse is a licensed skilled nursing facility with professional nursing staff 24 hours per day.  All admissions are on a 24 hour / 7 day a week availability.

Long-term skilled nursing care is available for those who are unable to live independently and require assistance in fulfilling daily living needs. A person centered care plan is prepared and regularly reviewed for each resident, ensuring each individual’s needs and desires are met.

Short-term / Post-Acute Rehabilitation Services at the Good Samaritan Society are for people of all ages who no longer need hospital care, but would benefit from additional therapy and care before returning home following injury, illness or surgery.  There are 7 Post-Acute Rehab Rooms available for these admissions.  The rooms are furnished with bed, dresser, overstuffed recliner, flat screen TV, private bathroom and home like décor.  Our Medicare-certified post-acute rehab programs feature therapy gyms and include physical, occupational and speech therapy.

Other Services Offered:  Inpatient / Outpatient Therapy, Home Health, Respite Care, Hospice, Adult Daycare, Specialized Care Plans for each resident.

Syracuse Country Club is a beautiful, 9-hole public golf course in Syracuse, Nebraska. The course features fairways lined by well-established trees, and various water and sand obstacles. Holes range from 278-444 yards, which makes this course playable for those new to golf, yet a bit of challenge for more experienced, long-ball hitters!

The 5th Street Centre is under new ownership with Chris and Dawn Richardson, who have great intentions of making it into a place for couples to have a “Date Night” in the Green Room. Every 3-4 months, they will have a dinner featuring a local winery and provide entertainment, such as a hypnotist, murder mystery or dueling pianos. They would like to incorporate the community and give them an alternative for a fun night out. The Good Samaritan Society – Linden View Assisted Living offers 2-bedroom, 1 bedroom and studio apartments. The assisted living community is a licensed healthcare provider that offers residents housing, personal assistance, supportive services, and custom healthcare plans.  Residents live in their own apartments, but have advantages to the following services:

• need help with medication management or administration
• are no longer interested in or able to keep up with lawn care, snow removal or other home maintenance tasks
• enjoy and value the security of having neighbors and staff members close by
• want to be proactive about their health by using technology to help them stay as independent as possible
• need or want help with laundry and housekeeping
• require three nutritionally balanced meals each day
• prefer using transportation provided by others for shopping, appointments or entertainment
• enjoy participating in spiritual, recreational, entertainment and wellness programming

Staff is available 24 hours a day at the Assisted Living Facility.
