SDA Schools will be hosting the Lincoln Food Bank on Monday, May 11, from 3:00-4:00 p.m. in the HS Student Parking Lot. The Food Bank of Lincoln will be on site to distribute food to anyone in need. Assistance will also be provided by the NE National Guard.
We are excited to announce that we are reopening on May 5, 2020. With this being said you will see many changes when you return to our clinic. We are implementing these changes for the health of our patients and staff so please be considerate as this will most likely be an adjustment for all of us.
First off, we will require all staff to wear a N95 mask and face shield. We will be using a combination of washing our hands with soap and water, hand sanitizer, and gloves to help protect everyone in the clinic.
Gov. Ricketts Highlights Launch of “Test Nebraska” Mobile Testing Sites, Announces Childcare Referral Resource
LINCOLN – Today, at his daily coronavirus press briefing, Governor Pete Ricketts announced that mobile testing has begun in Grand Island and Omaha as part of the Test Nebraska initiative. The Governor also called attention to a childcare referral resource created by the Nebraska Children and Families Foundation (NCFF) in partnership with State agencies. The first case of coronavirus was reported in our state almost eight weeks ago on March 6, 2020. A week later, I declared a state of emergency due to the risks posed by the virus. In mid-March, the State began to issue directed health measures (DHMs) to slow the spread of the virus and protect our residents.
Nebraskans have responded to public health measures with cooperation, patience, and understanding. I am grateful for the sacrifices made by so many people to help us flatten the curve. As we enter May, it’s time to get Nebraska growing again. However, we’ll need to proceed with caution.
