2025 Registration Opens Saturday, May 3rd @ 9:00 am!

Summer Blast is a youth program presented by the Syracuse Library Foundation. It takes education beyond the classroom by providing students with unique, motivating, hands-on learning opportunities! These fun and engaging classes are geared to incorporate science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Summer Blast also emphasizes creative thinking, collaboration, experimentation, and exploration.

Class selection for enrollment should be based on your student’s current grade for the Spring 2025 semester. Classes will be held June 2-6, 2025, at the Syracuse Middle School; morning classes run from 9 am-Noon, and afternoon classes run from 1 pm-4 pm.

The cost to attend will be $25 for the first class and only $35 for two or more classes (maximum of $35 per family, any # of kids)! We’re also offering lunch supervision for kids who wish to take a morning and afternoon class and bring a sack lunch from home to eat in between sessions! Scholarships for FREE classes are available to families who provide proof of free/reduced school lunch status.

Registration opens on May 3, 2025 – first come, first serve. Note our NEW staggered schedule this year! All registrations must be done online and classes fill up quickly! To avoid errors when registering multiple children, read the instructions on the online form. The registration process requires online payment with a credit card or uploading a photo of a current free & reduced lunch status letter (document can be texted to 402-269-0111 within 72 hrs. of registering).

Spots are filled based on the order in which complete registrations are submitted. Due to our varying payment options, our online system sometimes allows too many students to register for a given class. Every registration is time/date stamped, and we monitor this closely. We do our best to quickly text or call parents to get their student’s alternate class selection when necessary. To save time, know what your student’s 2nd choice class would be in case it is needed. Please know that your student’s placement in a class is not guaranteed until you receive an email confirming his or her spot has been reserved (within 48-72 hours of registering).
