2026 Registration Opens Saturday, April 11 @ 9:00 am

Summer Blast is a youth program presented by the Syracuse Library Foundation. It takes education beyond the classroom by providing students with unique, motivating, hands-on learning opportunities for kids (ages 5-11) who are completing K-6 grade this school year. These fun and engaging classes are geared to incorporate science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Summer Blast also emphasizes creative thinking, collaboration, experimentation, and exploration.

Starting in 2026, we will use the Syracuse Parks & Rec online system to manage registration! We are very excited about this change. It will enable users to view the classes each child is eligible for based on birthdate, display each class description during sign-up, alleviate overbooking by automatically closing classes as they reach capacity, simplify signing up multiple children, and email an automatic registration confirmation to each user as soon as their registration is processed. We’ve made several other changes to our 2026 Syracuse Summer Blast processes and guidelines, so be sure to read the details outlined on the Summer Blast Online Registration page.

How to Sign Up
If you already have a login for this system from registering your children for other activities, just make sure the emergency contact listed is someone we can reach in case of injury or illness during the week of Summer Blast. If you need to set up a Syracuse Parks & Rec Online Account, you can do it NOW to save time during the registration process! Instructions for creating an account and signing up for Summer Blast
