Q. When will GermanFest be held this year?
A. GermanFest is always held the 2nd Saturday of July. Mark your calendar for July 14, 2018 – we look forward to seeing you!

Q.  Is GermanFest a family-friendly event?
A. Absolutely, GermanFest is sure to feature something for everyone. People of all ages are welcome at all GermanFest activities.

Q. Are all GermanFest activities handicap accessible?
A. Nearly every activity is in a handicap accessible location. In fact, we have reserved parking areas for our elderly folks and those with handicap stickers. To find out if you will be able to easily access the specific activities you are interested in, please ask our GermanFest committee.

Q. Is alcohol served at GermanFest?
A. Yes, alcohol is permitted but must be purchase onsite. Canned domestic and a German beer can be consumed within the designated areas (including the RibFest festivities and Concert). Mixed drinks can be enjoyed in one of the bars downtown.

Abendessen Traditional German Meal

ADVANCE TICKETS REQUIRED – Meal tickets can be purchased between June 20 – July 3. Available @ these downtown Syracuse businesses: Do It Best Hardware, The Added Touch & AJ’s Coffee House. If you are unable to pick-up your tickets locally, email us by July 3 to request your meal tickets.

*Entertainment begins at 6:00 p.m. with the the Lil’ Miss and Meister GermanFest Competition; followed by the meal (served at approx. 6:30-6:45 p.m.).

The cost of the meal will be $12.00 for Adults over 12, Child ages 5-12 – $6.00, 5 years & Under – free. After July 5th – Audults over 12 – $15.000, Child ages 5-12 – $7.00 and 5 & under – free.

Lil’ Miss and Lil’ Meister GermanFest Pageant
@ Syracuse Senior Center – 4th & Railroad Street

*The Lil’ Miss Germanfest Pageant will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m., followed by a traditional German meal (Abendessen) to be served at 6:30 – 6:45 p.m. New this year will be the crowning of a Lil’ Meister! Families are encouraged to join us for the meal, however, ADVANCE TICKETS ARE REQUIRED.  Abendessen meal tickets can be purchased between June 20 – July 3. A. Every year varies a bit depending on which vendors participate, but in the past have had fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh baked goods and homemade jams, as well as hand-crafted items for the home and garden.
